When thinking about what a light will look like 10 years in the future, I believe most of the components of a lamp will disappear except for the light itself– one luminous body. The future users can utilize light sources anywhere as freely as the wizards in the film ‘Harry Potter’, who wave a wand to create light.

The technology of wireless electricity and dynamic interaction signs will need to mature in order to realize this concept. A floating light would rely on hand motions as inputs, although there would be no hand contact or touching.
